Day 3: My first UX design practice

2 Jul 2023

Work hours: 4hrs

As I've mentioned in my previous article, I'm on a quest to develop my artistic voice, and guess what? I've got an awesome update for you! I've committed myself to daily UX design practice to level up my skills. I stumbled upon this fantastic website that provides quick design prompts to keep my creative juices flowing. Today, I took on the challenge of designing a setting view for a book discovery app, and boy, did I have a blast!

I spent around two hours immersed in the design process, channeling my inner designer extraordinaire. Right now, my focus is on quantity rather than perfection. It's all about building up that muscle memory and sharpening my ability to whip up stunning UI interfaces in no time. Just like my foundation class days when I worked on my drawing skills, I know that practice makes progress!

But wait, there's more! I also had the chance to explore the latest upgrade of Figma, and let me tell you, it's a game-changer. They introduced these awesome things called variables, and I couldn't resist incorporating them into my design. The result? A jaw-dropping prototype that seamlessly switches between light and dark modes. It's like magic!

I'm absolutely thrilled with how things turned out. This daily practice routine is not only helping me grow as a designer but also bringing me so much joy. I can't wait to share more updates with you as I continue this exhilarating design journey. Stay tuned, my friends!
